With Swift Publisher for Mac you can view and edit two pages side-by-side. Specific to professional desktop publishing software, this functionality is very convenient for working with magazines, newspapers and other double-page layouts.
Text boxes can be linked to make your text flow from one text box into another, even when text boxes are on different pages. That is great for complex, multi-column layouts such as self-publishing magazines and books.

Actually, if you have purchased/installed Pages, Keynote, or Numbers previously, if you sign-in with your AppleID and go to the Purchased section of the App Store, you will find the application install history. When you click on the Install button there, it will ask you if you want to download the previous version of the app that will work on non 10.14 machines.
Thanks! This is exactly what was needed and the easiest way... "if you have purchased/installed Pages, Keynote, or Numbers previously, if you sign-in with your AppleID and go to the Purchased section of the App Store, you will find the application install history. Thanks for providing the perfect answer! I was having the same problem, and was about to give up on this thread for all the complaining about the Apple Store policies... Forgot about the "re-downloading" apps that you've deleted from the hard drive.
When I go to the purchased section I don't see an "install" button only one that says open and if I press open, it lists my pages files. If I click on pages in the purchased section it goes to the update page. Is this what I want to do? If i press update will it give me the option to go to a previous version or will it try and update latest again.
Each document window contains a toolbar, which gives one-click access to commonly used functions such as inserting objects (text boxes, shapes, tables, charts, and comments), uploading the document to iWork.com, and adding additional pages. In addition, the document window contains a contextual format bar that allows one-click formatting of text and adjustments to images. When text is selected, the format bar enables users to choose fonts, text size, and color, and to adjust line spacing and alignment. When an image is selected, the format bar displays tools to adjust opacity, show and hide shadow and reflection effects and mask the image.[9] A separate Inspector window provides almost all formatting options available for any element in the open document.
Other than accessing iCloud through a browser, no program can officially view or edit a Pages file using Windows or Linux. Some content can be retrieved from a document created in Pages '09 because a .pages file is a bundle. A user can open a .pages file in an unpackaging program or by renaming files as .zip files in Windows (XP and onwards) and will find either a .jpg or .pdf preview in its entirety for viewing and printing, although this is only possible if the creator of the .pages files elected to include a preview. The user will also find a .xml file with unformatted text.[16] This process can also be used for users of the 2008 version of Pages to open documents saved in the 2009 version of Pages, which are not backward compatible.
Some have returned with the updates & there are some new features that are worthwhile, but there are still 100+ features missing. Pages 6 has only added the collaboration features. Much the same applies to Numbers 3 & 4. If you do want to use Pages 5.6.2 & Numbers 3.6.2 & have access to those versions on your previous Mac or a backup (Time Machine or clone), you can just copy them over to the MacBook Pro. You will need to enter your Mac App Store ID & password the first time you launch the apps.
Pages 5.6.2, Numbers 3.6.2, and Keynote 6.6.2 required OS X 10.10.4+ or El Capitan. Now that Apple has released new major versions of Pages, Numbers, and Keynote; and upped their requirement to macOS Sierra, I suspect that no one will be able to access any previous versions of these applications, regardless of past purchase history. Hello Peggy, Thanks for your interest. On the App Store 'Purchased Page' there seem to be two things I can do regarding Pages, and the same two for Numbers. In a column on the right, some previously purchased apps have a button labeled 'DOWNLOAD', and some have a button labeled 'INSTALL'.
But for Pages and Numbers the button is labeled 'OPEN'. When I press either, it causes the existing, older version, already installed on the computer, to open. Specifically, in the case of Pages, version 4.3. I'm supposing that the version I use on my iMac, 5.6.2 which I upgraded to when I upgraded the OS on that machine to El Capitan, would be more appropriate. The other choice is that one can click on the name 'Pages', or its icon.
Pages is an underrated service compared to Microsoft Office 356, which is the most used suite of productivity tools on the market. Microsoft Word is the most popular program to write documents. Word will automatically save your documents as the accessible .doc file format. While the native file type for Pages is .pages, you can easily export your files to Word on your Mac.
Apple has figured out how to open a .pages file on a Windows 10 OS or later. You can save your documents to your iCloud account to open the docs on iCloud.com in your web browser. While Word does not open .pages files, you can convert .pages to .docx in the Pages user interface.
Apple products will often come with Pages preinstalled since Pages is part of the iWork suite. Keynote and Numbers are additional apps created by Apple. Keynote is a presentation application, while Numbers is a spreadsheet platform. You can download Pages in the App Store for free.
After you have created the project or downloaded an existing one, in order to include your license, you need to add a file called gluonmobile.license to your resources and paste your valid license key as the content:
If you have Intel, download the graalvm-svm-java17-darwin-gluon-22.1.0.1-Final.zip file, unzip and extract to a proper location, and finally set the GRAALVM_HOME environment variable to point to the GraalVM directory:
Next to the signing identify, you will also need to create a provisining profile that can be used for distribution. However, it does not have to be downloaded. A workflow step will download it using the Appstore Connect API. (see next section)
